I've come a long way since my teenage shopping sprees at Forever 21. Don't get me wrong, I still love the fast-fashion retail store for the closet staple pieces, like, cami tops, leggings and the occasional felt hat, but as I grow older, I am learning to value the quality of clothes more than the quantity. In the last year I've done a major closet overhaul by donating or selling my trendy clothes to the nearby Salvation Army or Buffalo exchange, changed what I splurge on and I now invest in items that will last.
& Other Stories has become my go-to store for Fall and Winter essentials this year! Last week, I picked up this beautiful, amber-colored blazer and pants set on sale that has me feeling like the poster child for Fall fashion!
SHOP THESE BOOTS!
This suit is no doubt a show stopper. I purchased this item knowing I can wear each piece individually. Generally, suits are great investment pieces because you can wear it as a set or separately. You can wear the suit to church or the office and then change it up for a date night by simply keeping the jacket and swapping the pants with a leather mini skirt.
& Other Stories is not a cheap brand, but knowing this set will last me for years, I purchased it with the quality and versatility in mind. Today, I styled it with my current favorite accessories, the Lucy Williams hoops from Missoma, a couple of gold necklaces I found at Artists and Fleas in SoHo, NY, and my favorite snakeskin boots from Mango.
I loved every moment of this staple piece so much that I went and bought another in navy blue for the Winter!
